Mahdi Tavalaei is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Strategy and Digital Transformation, a member of the Centre of Digital Economy (CoDE), and an affiliated researcher at the Centre for the Decentralised Digital Economy (DECaDE) at the University of Surrey, UK. His research focuses on competitive strategy and governance mechanisms in multisided markets and platform-based ecosystems.
