She does research on diversity, culture, and inequality, and her book, The American Non-dilemma: Racial Inequality without Racism (NY: Russell Sage Foundation) won the 2014 C. Wright Mills Award. Professor DiTomaso won the 2016 Award for Lifetime Scholarly Achievement given by the Gender and Diversity Division of the Academy of Management.
