Philipp Tuertscher is Professor of Collaborative Innovation at the KIN Center for Digital Innovation, School of Business and Economics, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His research explores organizational mechanisms and social practices for collaborative innovation in a variety of settings. Besides studying innovation processes on collaborative crowdsourcing platforms and online communities, such as Linux, Wikipedia, and Threadless, Philipp has been studying innovation and the creation of digital infrastructure in large-scale scientific collaborations at CERN.
