Thomas B. Lawrence is a Professor of Strategy at the SaĂŻd Business School, University of Oxford. He received his PhD in organizational analysis from the University of Alberta. His research explores how people construct, transform, and disrupt institutions, relationships, and identities in response to inequality in organizational fields. His most recent book is with Nelson Phillips and entitled Constructing organizational life: How social-symbolic work shapes selves, organizations, and institutions (OUP 2019).
